The preparation of 2018 Taichung International Garden and Horticulture Exposition can be divided into two parts. The Agriculture Bureau of Taichung City Government is responsible for the Houli venue’s land acquisition and development in accordance with non-urban land development and operating procedures. For the sustainable management of Flora Expo’s permanent venue, this Bureau has drafted the mid-term and long-term development plan for the Houli Flora Expo Designated Zone in accordance with the new urban planning procedures.
(1) The new urban plan will be submitted to the Regional Planning Commission of Ministry of the Interior to seek its advice and posted for urban planning exhibition and public review.
(2) After the Regional Planning Commission of Ministry of the Interior completes its deliberation, the plan will be subsequently handled by the Land Administration Bureau for urban land rezoning or expropriation.
